CHRISTMAS wishes could come true thanks to the efforts of a dedicated south Warwickshire fundraiser.
Morrisons community champion Alex Pearson walked 15 miles accompanied by representatives from the Young People First charity which supports youngsters across Warwick, Leamington and Whitnash.
Their route took them from Warwick town centre to Leamington, on to Offchurch and Radford, before finishing at Morrisons.
Alex said: “I had set out my plan for 2023 with five amazing charities and seeing the work the team do at Young People First is just amazing. I had to do something to support them.
“We have continued to support them this year with donating money to help holiday hunger, offering them to ask for food in stores in our fill a bay challenge and by allowing the young people to come to the store and have interviews to help them in the future. We love the work they do and we know the difference they can make in young people’s lives.
“I have to say I am very lucky with the weather as this is my sixth charity event and I have had sunshine and warmth. We know that the money raised on the day will go to support the Christmas appeal they hold to help families in need.”
So far the team have raised £82 and want to raise at least £200.

We work with families that desperately need support and all the money raised will go directly to making a massive difference to families in need this Christmas.”
