DEN building and bug hunting will be among the activities at a forest school in Leamington.
Foundry Wood has reopened Muddy Puddles Mini Forest School for two to four-year-olds and their parents. Sessions include nature trails, crafts, sensory play and bird watching.
School leader Kate Haines said: “We tend to think of being outdoors as being good for our physical health, but there are so many positive benefits for our mental health and emotional wellbeing too, including improved mood and sleep. Nature based learning is more important now that we live in such a highly digital age as it gives people a much needed digital break.”
“Many mental health professionals acknowledge maintaining a relationship with nature can be especially helpful for children.”
Sessions take place on Friday mornings between 10am and 11am at Foundry Wood on Princes Drive.
