DOG owners are reminded to keep their pets on leads around livestock after a sheep was attacked and died.
The sheep had to be put to sleep after a suspected dog attack in a field near Castle Road in Kenilworth between 4pm on Sunday (February 10) and 9am on Monday (February 11).
Officers believe a dog being walked nearby attacked the sheep, which had to be put down.
PC Scott McKeown said: “It is a criminal offence to allow a dog to worry or attack livestock, this includes chasing. Please keep your dog on a lead if you are around livestock.”
Police are calling for anyone with information about the attack to get in touch.
