Dog walker assaulted and threatened with knife

A MAN was threatened with a knife in an attempted robbery in Leamington.

Police are appealing for information after a man in his 50s was threatened and assaulted while walking his dog in woods off Radford Road behind Newbold Comyn Golf Course.

Two men, believed to be in their early 20s, threatened him with a knife and demanded his wallet at around 3pm on Monday (February 20).

When the victim refused he was hit in the face, causing a cut to his mouth. The suspects then made off.




The first man is described as of Asian appearance, clean shaven, around 6ft tall, of medium build and the other man is described as white, nearly 6ft tall with short fair hair.

Anyone who was in the area or has any information about the incident is urged to call police on 101 or contacted Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
