A VICTIM needed hospital treatment after he was attacked and hit in the face with a metal chain.

The 26 year-old man was walking his dogs through Priory Park in Warwick in the late afternoon on Monday (September 18) with his girlfriend, when they were caught up in an exchange with a group of young men.

One man pulled a padlock and chain – described as being larger than a motorcycle chain – out of his bag before attacking the victim with it.

The couple then fled to the girlfriend’s address where they called an ambulance.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101, or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
