Dogs Trust fun day goes walkies to new location

DOGS Trust fun day organisers hope four and two legged friends will follow them a new location this year.

The Kenilworth branch of the charity is holding its annual fund-raiser in the village of Offchurch at manor house Offchurch Bury on Sunday June 16.

In previous years the event has been held at Hatton Country Park.

But this year dogs and their owners will be welcomed to the new venue, which will include fun dog show, raffle, stalls, demonstrations, refreshments and dog activity village.

Charity spokeswoman Helen Barlow said: “Everything we do is for our rescue dogs and we hope you and your four-legged friends can join us on the day and show your support. We can promise a really fun day out for all the family, with lots of activities available.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet local dog lovers and raise pounds for the hounds in our care as the proceeds from the day help us to care for dogs currently staying at the rehoming centre.”

Donations of wine are needed for the bottle games stall and pre-loved items for the nearly new stall.

The day runs from 11am to 4pm and entry costs £2.50 (50p children).
