FESTIVE folk in Kenilworth will be spoilt for choice with two light switch-on events.
Kenilworth’s High Street will be starting their celebrations at 5pm on Friday November 26 with a range of food and drink stalls, local high street businesses and community groups, plus performances of Punch and Judy and an appearance from Santa with his sleigh.
The lights will be switched on at 6pm by town deputy mayor Samantha Cooke.
And there will be for all the family on Warwick Road on the same day, with the event getting underway at 4pm.
There will be performances on the main stage alongside a rock choir and a special panto performance. Fun fair rides will be available to keep the kids entertained and there will be a range of market stalls. The lights will be switched on at 6pm by mayor Peter Jones.
Coun Jones said: “Thanks to finance from the town and district councils and the Kenilworth Illuminations Committee, we will have Christmas lights and entertainment in the two venues. Let the lights begin!”
Warwick District Council will continue to implement current public health guidance in place at the time, advising anyone attending to ‘lateral flow before you go’, not attend if you have any Covid symptoms and to wear a mask when in crowded spaces.
