Driver dies following crash on M40

A MAN died when when his vehicle crashed on the M40 on Saturday night.

Police are appealing for information following the crash on the southbound carriageway between junction 11 for Banbury and junction 12 for Gaydon shortly after 7pm.

The victim was a man in his 30s who was driving alone. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

The motorway was closed in both directions for several hours while emergency services were in attendance.




If anyone witnessed the collision or has any information which could assist with enquiries, please call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 260 of 16 April 2022.
