Leamington Editorial 18th Jun, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

A WOMAN has died after the car she was driving flipped onto its roof earlier today (Wednesday).

No other vehicles were involved in the incident which took place at around 11.20am on Queensway in Leamington, near its junction with Juno Drive.

A passenger in her 80s suffered knee and back injuries and was taken to hospital.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, said: “Crews arrived to find a car which had come to rest on its roof.

“Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the driver of the car and she was confirmed dead at the scene.

“Working closely with the fire service, crews carefully immobilised the passenger with the use of a spinal board and neck collar and she was cut free from the car.”
