Driver taken to hospital with serious injuries after A46 crash

A MAN has been taken to hospital following a crash involving a van a stationary lorry in Warwick.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene on the A46, between Junctions 2 and 3 in Leek Wootton, shortly after 5am this morning.

A fire crew cut the van driver from his car, after he had been trapped for some 40 minutes.

The driver had serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
