A DRIVER went the wrong way round a traffic island during a police chase in Leamington.
The BMW driver failed to stop for police on the Kenilworth Road, this morning (Thursday) at around 4am, and later abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
Police found the suspect hiding nearby and arrested him for dangerous driving, failing to stop, no Insurance and no driving licence.
Two other vehicles which had been in convoy with the BMW were also stopped.
They were seized and both drivers, who also had no insurance, were reported.
