Family relieved as lost dog Reggie is found

A BELOVED family pet who was lost just after moving to the area has been found – nearly seven weeks after he went missing.

The Satchell family recently moved to Warwick from London and were settling into local life when Reggie went missing on January 7.

A ‘Find Reggie’ facebook group was set up and gained nearly 500 members, with teams who dubbed themselves ‘Reggie’s Rangers’ regularly searching for the dog as concerns grew he would not survive the freezing winter temperatures.

But weeks later the two-year-old Lucas Terrier was reunited with his owners after being found at the side of the road by a couple driving through Warwick.

It is not known which road the dog was discovered on.

Trisha Shaw from charity DogLost, which works to reunite lost dogs with their owners, said: “I’m so very happy that Reggie is home safely. I’d like to personally thank everyone that helped in the search and shared his poster.

“It seems likely that Reggie has been cared for by someone while he’s been away from home and we’re grateful for that but I’d like to ask that anyone who finds a dog please report it to their local dog warden. This is required by law and helps to reunite dogs with their owners nice and quickly.”
