A COMMUNITY farm in Leamington which supports people with mental health problems has received a lottery windfall.

Pilgrims Christian Community Farm has been award a £25,000 National Lottery grant to help continue providing therapeutic sessions with animals including horses, rabbits and guinea pigs.

Farm director Alice Evans said: “This funding is fantastic news and will be crucial in helping us to maintain the farm and care for our animals.

“We offer a safe space for people with mental health problems and tailor our support to each individual’s needs. Their families and carers are also welcomed to come along and spend time together, reducing isolation and loneliness. We’ve had many describe our farm as an oasis and the support we offer has been immensely enlightening for people.”
