SIGNED copies of a new book on Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery will be availble in Warwick on Saturday (December 4).
A limited number of copies of Bernard Montgomery’s Art of War, by Zita Steele, will be signed by the author and Viscount Montgomery, grandson of the great military leader who served with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
He was commissioned into the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in 1908 and then went on to serve with them in the First World War before becoming commanding officer of the 1st Battalion in the inter-war period.
The new book offers the reader an in-depth insight into Montgomery’s thoughts and writings on his approach to war.
The book event, a fund-raiser organised by the Friends of the Fusilier Museum Warwick, is at the Warwick Arms Hotel on High Street from 11am to 1pm.
