WARWICKSHIRE Fire and Rescue service is restricting its community activities to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
The service announced it would be limiting non-essential contact with the public due to the virus, and to ensure crews were available for emergency response.
This includes community education, fire prevention and business fire safety activities.
The crew will respond to significant risks that could lead to loss of life or distress.
The announcement follows the government’s movement to the ‘delay phase’ of its response to the pandemic – a strategy including social distancing and encouraging businesses to work from home where possible, to slow the spread.
