A CORN field and combine harvester in Offchurch were ablaze on Saturday afternoon, prompting numerous calls from concerned onlookers.
Firefighters from across the district used hoses and fire beaters to extinguish the flames, which had spread across the three acre field off the Fosseway at around 3.30pm.
A spokesman from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue service said: “Fire engines from Leamington, Southam and Kenilworth were mobilised.
“Upon arrival fire fighters found one combine harvester well alight in a three acre corn field which had also caught fire.”
