Flower trains arrive on time in Leamington despite pandemic

THE FLORAL trains arrived on time in Leamington despite the pandemic.

Leamington in Bloom was not able to work with primary schools and care homes on this year’s Floral Trains due to Covid-19.

But green-fingered members were determined the trains would arrive outside the glasshouse in Jephson Gardens and at the Railway Garden at the station as usual.

And they received grateful help from Baginton Nurseries, which grew the plant plugs on during the spring, delivering geraniums, verbena and African marigolds for the displays.

Leamington in Bloom committee members and volunteers from Garway Close planted up the wooden carriages at the end of June and Warwick District Council< with the help of its contractors Veolia, have now parked the trains up.
