RED roses were presented to the ladies of Leamington on Thursday (April 23).
Members of the Royal Leamington Spa Horticultural Society handed out roses to all the ladies outside the Town Hall on St George’s Day.
Society vice chairman Ron Walton said: “This has now become an annual event and is much appreciated by all the ladies who receive a rose and this year we also were asked by a few gentlemen if they could take home a rose for their loved one.
“In the main the English don’t celebrate our saint’s day so the society is happy to mark the occasion with this small gesture to the ladies.”
