Former Stratford Grammar School pupil takes to the high wire

FROM studious to stupendous – a former Stratford Grammar School pupil has made the not so textbook transition to the high wire.

Ksenia Archer is the only female in Europe able to perform the two leg chair balance on the high wire.

The 19-year-old, from Stratford, is the daughter of the owners of Circus Cortex, Paul and Irina Archer.

And their daughter showed off her daring feat at a circus performance in Evesham at the weekend in Circus Cortex’s production – ‘Warriors’.

Ksenia started her wire walking journey when she was just seven-years-old and fell in love with a wire walking troupe while on tour with one of the UK’s biggest circuses.

Since then she has trained with some of the world’s leading wire walkers and performed across the UK.

And circus skills certainly run in the family. Her dad Paul began his circus career as a juggler and her mum toured the world as a professional gymnast.
