FOUR men and a teenage boy have been charged with a burglary in Stratford
Police received a report of a break in at a house in the town at around 3.15am on Thursday February 1. Offenders are reported to have stolen the keys to a Seat Leon before stealing the vehicle.
Within 35 minutes officers had spotted a vehicle believed to have been involved in the offence and stopped it on the M42. Two males were arrested.
A short time later, officers from West Midlands Police spotted the stolen car. The officers reported the car fled from them before finally coming to a stop in Olton, Birmingham after the vehicle’s tyres were ‘stung’. Another three males were arrested.
Anthony Bartram, 31, of Mobs Moat Road, Solihull was charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
Liam Jones, 18, of Selcroft Avenue, Birmingham was charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old boy form Birmingham was charged with burglary, dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, possession of cannabis and theft of a motor vehicle.
Archie Evans, 19, of Hollyhock Road, Birmingham was charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
Josh Wagstaff, 22, of Blackberry Lane, Stratford was charged with burglary, theft of motor vehicle, and possession of cannabis.
All five appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court last week. They will next appear at Warwick Crown Court on March 1.
