Freecyclers urge residents to offer unwanted belongings for free

ONE PERSON’S trash is another’s treasure is the message from ‘freecyclers’ in Warwickshire.

A Facebook page is encouraging residents in Warwick and Leamington to offer unwanted belongings freely to others who might have use for them.

The ‘freecycle’ movement which has taken hold across the world aims to help those in need and to divert unwanted goods from landfill.

Administrator William Harvey said: “Our aim is to make this an enjoyable experience and to push the growth of this group because we feel it really helps peoples lives and bring benefits to those who struggle for money. I think it’s a nice way to be apart of a community and help each other – something that is a dying trade these days.”
