Fund-raising friends ask district to teach them new skill

FRIENDS on a fundraising journey are challenging people to teach them a new skill.

Nick Street, Alice Albery and Matthew Bowen are traveling the length and breadth of the country in a bid to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and to learn a few new skills along the way.

The trio – who are all aged 28 and 29 and hail from Dorset – are hoping to visit Warwickshire this month and urge anyone who could teach them a new or interesting skill to volunteer their time.

For every county they visit and learn something new they are donating £10 to the charity, which supports people with the illness.

Alice said: “We can’t wait to meet ordinary people with extraordinary talents. We can’t think of a better way to see the UK, and it’ll be great to raise money for an amazing cause that’s close to all our hearts.

“We’ve all known people who’ve suffered with Alzheimer’s or dementia and have seen the devastating effect these diseases can have on a life.”
