Fundraising choir set to pop up at Kenilworth Castle this weekend

A FUNDRAISING choir will be popping up at Kenilworth Castle this weekend.

The Collaboration Choir, a nationwide network of adult pop choirs with over 800 members, is bringing a series of surprise pop-up performances to the area to raise cash for English Heritage.

And on Saturday (March 28), singers will be performing at Kenilworth Castle, including in the walled garden and the chapel.

The choir has already raised over £46,000 for charitable causes since it was founded and this is their biggest street fundraising push yet.

People who go along to support can expect to hear a mix of pop classics and choir favourites.

Carrie Rawlings, founder of The Collaboration Choir, said: “There’s something magical about hearing a choir in an unexpected place. It stops you in your tracks, lifts your mood and reminds you that community is all around you. That’s what these pop-ups are all about – our singers coming together to give something back through the thing they love most and we want as many people as possible to come along, feel that magic and be part of it.”
