THE FUSILIER Museum in Warwick has passed inspection with flying colours.
The museum St John’s House awarded the industry seal of approval has again won accreditation – the UK industry standard for museums.
Museums, like the Fusilier Museum which is already accredited, have to be re-assessed every few years to meet agreed standards on how they are run, managed and how it engages with visitors.
Fusilier Museum curator Stephanie Bennett said: “I am really pleased and proud. It is great news to be given Accreditation as it is the benchmark for a well-run museum.”
Having accreditation also makes it easier to get funding from grant making bodies like the lottery.
The Fusilier Museum is among more than 1700 museums participating in the scheme across the UK. In England it is managed by the Arts Council England.
