Futuristic parking machines being installed across district's car parks

FUTURISTIC parking meters are being installed in car parks across the district.

Warwick District Council aims to cover all bases with the new terminals in Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth, which will accept all payment forms including card and contactless payments, Apple and Android Pay, as well as good old-fashioned coins.

Some will also have voucher scanning technology, which the council hopes to develop for future loyalty schemes and discounts.

District council chairman George Illingworth said: “We have listened to our car park users and know that motorists would like to have a variety of payment options available to them. These new meters offer our customers the quick and convenient solutions they are looking for.”
