THE GAMING industry will be focused on a new festival coming to Leamington.
The town is home to a cluster of over 40 gaming companies – including major industry player ‘Codemasters’ – earning it the nickname ‘Silicon Spa’.
And it will host the inaugural Interactive Futures Games Festival. The three day celebration will bring together the UK and international games industry at Leamington’s Spa Centre from today (Thursday) until Saturday (February 2).
During the main conference on Thursday and Friday, experts will talk about the latest developments and opportunities in the fast growing industry.
And independent companies and students can showcase their latest projects through competitions and showing their ideas to industry experts.
On Saturday aspiring game creators, students and families can try their hand at creating animations and video games characters, and explore virtual reality.
Visit interactive-futures.com for details, workshop bookings and tickets. Entry is £5 on Saturday.
