BUBBLE-loving fund-raisers are being urged to pop on their boots to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
The Acorns Bubble Rush takes place on Saturday (June 24) at Hatton Country World and will see over 1,000 ‘bubblers’ run, jog or walk a 5km course through colourful bubbles.
The event is being held to raise vital funds for the hospice’s care supporting children and their families across the region.
But those interested in taking part are urged to sign up quickly as registration for the event closes at midnight tonight (Wednesday).
Hospice spokeswoman Lynda Hadley said: “After the success of last year’s run, this year is set to be even bigger and better so move quickly to secure your place.
“The sight of hundreds of people running through a field of multi-coloured bubbles has to be seen to be believed and we can’t wait for the day.”
The event will feature merchandise and accessory stalls and entry includes a free Bubble Rush t-shirt and finish line medal.
All participants will also be given discounted entry to Hatton Country World as a thank you for taking part.
Lynda added: “It will be fantastic day out for all our ‘bubblers’ but from a fundraising point of view this event is so important.
“Acorns relies on fundraising, including events like this to continue providing its vital care so we’re hoping lots of people sign-up and join us.”
Entry costs £22.50 for adults and £12.50 for children, with special rates for families and groups.
This year’s event also includes a ‘Smart Bubbler’ scheme which means any participants who raise £100 or more in fundraising can claim their registration fee back.
