THOUSANDS of golf balls rained down on to a Warwickshire golf course as part of a helidrop competition to raise funds for the NSPCC.
The special event was part of an annual charity golf day, organised by the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Board, at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club.
Fundraising on the day totalled around £10,000 – all of which will be donated to support the running of Boole House, the NSPCC’s service centre in Coventry.
Golf balls were dropped from a helicopter suspended 200ft above the pin, after 18 teams completed a round of the game.
