Golf club raises £4,000 for dementia charities despite pandemic challenges

DESPITE the pandemic Ladies of Leamington and County Golf Club have raised more than £4,000 for dementia charities in the past year.

The club, based on Golf Lane in Whitnash, held wreath making sessions, bring and buys, Indonesian lunches and golf activities to raise the money.

Some £3,100 was donated to the Pam Britton Trust for Dementia, which supports those with dementia who live in south Warwickshire, along with their family and carers.

The ladies also sent £1,000 to Alzheimer’s Research UK to help in the search for a cure.
