THREE motorbikes, two van doors, a wheelie bin, a water butt, bicycles and shopping trolleys.
They were all among the junk hauled out of the Grand Union canal in Leamington by volunteers during the latest clean up organised by The Inland Waterways Association (IWA) on Sunday (March 1).
The stretch between Tachbrook Road and St Mary’s Road was the focus of the latest stage of the on-going clean-up which is set to continue until the autumn.
As well as filling a boat with rubbish, two large trailer loads of metal were carted away to be recycled, and a litter pick filled more than 30 sacks.
