WARWICK District Council’s chairman is set for a green future on the road.
The chairman is currently driven around to engagements in a Mercedes E220, which if replaced would cost around £40,000.
But the council is considering selling off the car and instead leasing an electric or hybrid vehicle – up to a cost of £3,900.
The council already has an electric charging point at current headquarters at Riverside House.
The council’s executive will discuss the plans at a meeting on Wednesday (November 1).
