LEAMINGTON Half Marathon will go ahead this year with a new date in October.
The event is usually held around the town in July, but due to the pandemic a new venue of Warwick Racecourse will be used on Sunday October 18.
Organisers Raceways plan to stagger start times to ensure social distancing can be maintained while runners complete five laps of the course.
Raceways spokesman Christopher McShane said: “With lots of races and events across multiple sports being cancelled, we were even more determined to put on the Leam Half in some form.
“Although we acknowledge the race will be somewhat different this year, we hope the novelty of it will be attractive to lots of people.”
Entry costs £34 (children go free).
