POLICE have released details of a car they would like to identify following an armed robbery at a Tesco in Kenilworth.

The incident happened around 11.30am on Tuesday (November 7) when three balaclava-clad robbers, armed with hammers and crow bars, followed security guards into the store on Leyes Lane.

The robbers stole cash boxes containing thousands of pounds from the security guards.

Nobody was injured but staff were left shaken.

It is thought the robbers made off towards Balsall Common.

Police are asking the public to help identify a grey BMW 3 or 5 series that was parked in Jacox Crescent and Ilam Park in Kenilworth during the morning.

Officers are also appealing for witnesses to the robbery.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
