THE GREAT Fire of London has been recreated by schoolchildren in Hatton.
Warwickshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service recently visited pupils at Ferncumbe Primary School to give a hands-on account of the fire which devastated the capital in 1666.
Pupils built their own cardboard houses before firefighters set them alight to demonstrate how quickly the fire would have spread.
As part of the visit the children were also taught about the dangers of playing with matches and were given a tour of the fire engine.
