Headteacher thanks organisations ensuring families have not gone hungry throughout pandemic

CAMPION School headteacher Jassa Panesar has thanked the organisations which have ensured families do not go hungry throughout the pandemic.

In recent months Rowley’s Butchers in Warwick donated Christmas hampers and £2,200 was raised by a former student who set up a hardship fund.

And food charity Langar Aid is also providing 25 food hampers for families on a fortnightly basis. The project is ran by international humanitarian aid organisation Khalsa Aid International, whose mission is to serve the homeless, vulnerable and those struggling with poverty in the UK.

Mr Panesar said he was ‘overwhelmed and grateful’ for the support.

He added: “It has been wonderful to see so many local communities pull together in these difficult times.”
