A NIGERIAN meal and healthy donation has seen money raised for a third world education charity.
Thare Machi Education (TME) took over Robbie’s Restaurant in Warwick for a fund-raising event which saw more than £500 raised for the charity.
TME team member Ayesha Dikko took over the kitchen to rustle up a Nigerian feast including plantain and chicken stew while dessert was donated by pop-up restaurant Kitchenorium,
The total raised was match-funded by Santander, taking the total to some £1,100.
The money will be used to create educational dvds about health and hygiene in different languages.
Charity director Rachel Butt said: “Money will be used to help fund the distribution of our lifesaving lessons across Africa and Asia – amazingly this money is enough to pay for over 300 lessons, which could be seen by more than 60,000 people.”
