“I feel honoured that I was the winning candidate, but I know this result is also testament to the work of my fellow councillors, who do so much for the local community and have gained their trust
“As we move forward, I will serve all members of the ward and every member of our community. As part of a strong Labour team, with a Labour MP, I am excited about what we can achieve together.
“I am very much hoping that soon we will also have a Labour government that will be able to unlock new fairer funding for local authorities. This means we will be able to provide the services local people rely on and address the real needs of our community.
“I want to thank everyone who voted for me, my supporters and volunteers, and voters who have tirelessly worked to ensure Clarendon is in the best hands.”
Helen Adkins joins Coun Jessica Harrison and Coun Chris King who were elected as district councillors for Leamington Clarendon last May.
