Helping Matilda achieve her cheerleading dream Stateside

Leamington Editorial 31st Aug, 2022   0

JEWELLERS in Warwick are preparing to go up in the world to help a young girl achieve her dream.

Staff at Russell Lane Jewellers are supporting ten year-old Matilda and her 11 year-old sister Poppy to raise funds to send them to Florida so Matilda can compete with some of the best cheerleaders in the world.

Staff will be walking eight hours to the top of Mount Snowdon – the second highest mountain in Britain.

Matilda started cheerleading when her mental health was extremely low after suffering the loss of her father.

For a long time Matilda was very anxious and felt she wasn’t good enough to become a cheer leader.

But two years later and after lots of hard work she is now in two All Star teams and is travelling to the USA to compete in the All Star World Championships with her cheer friends.

Matilda and her sister understand this is a very expensive, once in a lifetime trip, and they want to raise as much funds as possible to help towards the cost, entirely funded by parents.
