High octane events in store for visitors to Warwick Castle this summer

Leamington Editorial 26th Jul, 2022   0

DRAGONS slayers, sundown spectaculars and sleepovers are just some of the high octane events in store at Warwick Castle this summer.

The castle is full to the turrets with things to see and do for all the family throughout the summer holidays.

Dragon Slayer, a 360 degree, immersive spectacle takes place between August 12 and 21. This piece of theatrical entertainment combines horse stunts, light shows, battles and fireworks to bring a new take on the legend of Guy of Warwick.

War of the Roses Live invites audience members to choose their side as this historical battle between the rival houses of York and Lancaster is brought back to life with jousting and sword fighting. Live shows run daily from July 23 until September 4.

Sundown Spectacular takes place between August 25 and 29 to toast the end of the summer. Digbeth Dining Club is set to bring live bands, DJs, bars and street food to the castle and each evening will end with a fireworks finale.

Visitors to the castle will also be able to visit the Zog Playland and the new outdoor Zog Live Show throughout the whole summer. There is also a Horrible Histories Maze and the chance to “Sleepover at the Castle” in the medieval-themed Knight’s Village. Guests can hire out their own woodland lodge or glamping tent in the castle grounds.
