Warwick Thai Festival to return in September

WARWICK’S Thai Festival has been rescheduled due to the extended lockdown period.

The event, held at Warwick Racecourse, has been moved from the weekend of July 10 and 11 to the weekend of September 4 and 5.

Alan Bailey of Warwick Rotary Club – which organises the event along with Magic of Thailand – explained: “After the Prime Minister’s statement earlier this month, we had no option but to cancel.

“As we can’t travel to Thailand this year, take a break and come to Warwick, we will help you believe you are really on holiday in Thailand with all the sights and sounds of the orient!”

The format will be the same as previous years, open from 10.30am to 6pm on Saturday and until 5pm on Sunday, and will include the usual host of Buddhist monks, boxers, dancers, musicians, stalls selling Thai food, goods and massages.

Current tickets will be transferred to the later date or refunds offered.
