AN HISTORIC Southam building has been put up for sale.
Stratford District Council is selling the The Grange on Coventry Road. The grade II-listed Georgian property, which is currently used as offices, is available for redevelopment, dependent on planning permission.
Simon Hain, director at ehB Commercial, which is leading the sale, said: “With the potential to redevelop for either commercial or residential purposes, the Grange offers a great acquisition opportunity.
“It’s not often that such a prestigious building comes on the market and interest in The Grange has already been high.”
Set in the town’s conservation area and next to The Grange Hall, during the First World War injured soldiers were nursed at The Grange.
No guide price has been issued. It is being left to the market to decide.
