HISTORY will be coming to life at the Fusilier Museum Warwick in Warwick at the weekend.
The museum is hosting a free outdoor event, Bringing History to Life! in the garden at St John’s House on the Saturday July 17 from 11am to 3pm.
Curator Stephanie Bennett said: “Although the museum is closed until it moves to Pageant House in town, I wanted to do something during the summer for the local community and to say that we’re still here for you.”
The event will feature Royal Warwickshire Regiment re-enactors from the Boer War and the two world wars.
And other entertainment will include music from Ruby Ann Sings, together with an an observation bee-hive, candle rolling, a children’s trail and activities, and fancy dress competition with a military theme – including a prize for best dressed child (ten and under).
The Fusilier Museum will be re-opening at Pageant House on Jury Street in Warwick next Easter. It will include a new exhibition with a re-created First World War trench experience.
The museum is currently fundraising. Visit the museum website http://bitly.ws/8UAW to donate and for full details.
