HISTORY buffs are being invited to travel back in times for Heritage Open Days.
Historical hotspots across the country are throwing open their doors for the free annual culture fest, running from September 8 to 17.
And properties across south Warwickshire are getting in on the action,
Properties across south Warwickshire taking part include Holy Trinity Church and New Place in Stratford, Guy’s Cliffe Walled Garden, Hill Close Gardens and the Lord Leycester all in Warwick, Alcester’s Roman Museum, the Guild Hall in Henley, Moreton Morrell Tennis Court Club, and St James’ Church in Southam.
There will also be a variety of themed guided walks around Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth.
Heidi Meyer, the Master of the Lord Leycester, said: “We are very happy to participate in Heritage Open Days – our improvement project helped by National Lottery Heritage funding is about making our architectural wonder more accessible to the public and this festival falls right in line with that firm commitment.”
