THE ROLE of photography in studying Warwickshire’s past will be up for discussion at the Local History Society’s first event of the year.
The Photographer’s Gaze:Warwickshire Photography Since 1839 will kick off the programme of events online, on Saturday January 16.
Photographic historian Jim Ranahan, will explore Warwickshire’s rich photographic history and its continuing role in photographic innovation.
Jim, who is also an archivist, will also look at the photographers and consider how and why they have chosen to represent the county as they have.
Non-members are welcome to attend online meetings free of charge, for a limited time, and subject to ticket availability.
