Homeless huskies looking for new owners at Dogs Trust

AN INFLUX of homeless huskies are looking for new owners at a Kenilworth rehoming centre.

Dogs Trust have recently taken in five of the handsome breed who need forever homes.

But staff have been left baffled, as despite their furry coats and loving natures, Skye, Riley, Molly, Alaska and Bear are all being overlooked by visitors.

Centre manager Sandra Foulds said: “We have a number of Huskies all desperate to find a home to call their own and they would make fantastic companions for the right family.

“Sadly, we are seeing many of these types of dogs being handed in when they become too much for their owners who have not considered the implications of owning this particular breed. They may be cute but they are powerful, large dogs who need regular exercise and socialisation so it is important that we find owners who understand the demands of this breed and are in a position to offer a life-long commitment.

“They would benefit from a family of experienced dog owners, especially of larger breeds as huskies are quite strong.”
