HOMELESS and vulnerable people in have stepped into some new shoes to celebrate the Leamington Night Shelter’s anniversary.
The shelter opened eight years ago and has since helped nearly 1,000 people by offering a bed and hot meal twice a week at its base at Radford Road Church.
And to celebrate the service, donors bought each of the users new shoes and invested in new pillows and sleeping mats.
Founders Margaret Moore and Chris Johnson said: “We have been overwhelmed by so much support from individuals, churches and other organisations to enable us to help the homeless and needy.
“We would like to thank everyone who has given so generously.”
