Homes meals service steps up to the plate

A HOME meals service believes it can step up to the plate.

With the recent decision by Warwickshire County Counil to axe the “meals on wheels” service, Russell Mundell of Wiltshire Farm Foods believes the firm can offer a viable alternative.

Wiltshire Farm Foods has been delivering frozen ready-made meals to customers within the county for over 30 years. They currently offer a delivery service into the area using DBS checked drivers three times a week.

Mr Mundell said: “Meals are simple to cook and can be eaten at a time that suits. For those who are being cared for, meal planning is essential, and short cooking times can also assist busy carers”.

“With over 330 meals to choose from, with lots of choice for different diets and appetites, there is a meal to suit everyone’s palate. It is simple to order with no contract to worry about, you can order when you wish-by phone, online or with your friendly local driver.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. From crafting recipes with care to going that extra mile when it comes to customer service, you can depend on us for more than just your meals. Your friendly local team will take the time to get to know you and your driver will even pop your meals away in your freezer for you if you wish.

“Whilst Wiltshire Farm Foods is not a direct replacement for the meals on wheel service it is a viable alternative. It may not suit everyone’s circumstances, but what harm is there in storing a couple of frozen meals in the freezer as back up.”
