STAFF at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) are in the running for a trio of national awards.

SWFT has been nominated for three Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards – Provider Trust of the Year, Staff Engagement and Primary Care Innovation.

The Provider Trust of the Year reflects successes such as being one of only a few trusts across the country to deliver a financial surplus during the past year, and achieving 96 per cent against the national four hour A&E target.

The Staff Engagement nomination is for the trust’s staff benefits platform which showcases all employee benefits in an easily accessible format and focusses on health and wellbeing centred benefits as well as financial incentives like discounts.

And the Primary Care Innovation nomination recognises a project helping elderly and vulnerable patients with their medication.

SWFT Chief Executive Glen Burley said: “It’s been a great year for us and this is a nice reminder of all of the progress we have made in so many areas which have positioned the Trust as one of the best in the NHS.”
