Households advised to save in summer and stay warm in winter

“SAVE in summer, be warm in winter”, is the message being sent to households.

Warwick District Council is working in partnership with the energy conservation charity Act on Energy in a campaign to encourage residents to save money on their energy bills during the warmer months in preparation for the more expensive winter charges.

Act on Energy is organising a number free drop-in energy saving days, the first of which will take place at the Brunswick Hub in Leamington on Wednesday April 18 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Further events are planned at the Packmores Community Centre in Warwick on May 23 and the Sydni Centre on June 18.

Representatives from the charity will be at these events to give energy and money saving advice and support.

They can also offer information on grants available to help with the cost of things like loft and roof insulation and boiler installations, for residents on low incomes, who have a health condition, are over 65 years of age, have small children or are on a pre-payment meter.
