Jeremy Wright comfortably retains Kenilworth and Southam seat

JEREMY Wright has comfortably retained his Kenilworth and Southam seat.

Mr Wright secured 28,474 votes – a 58.4 per cent share.

Labour candidate Bally Singh was second with 15.3 per cent (7,472) – a slight increase on the party’s 2010 result.

UKIP’s Harry Cottam was third with 11.2 per cent (5,467), and Lib Dem candidate Richard Dickson fourth with 10.1 per cent (4,913) of the vote – a 17.6 per cent fall from the last election.




Green candidate Rob Ballantyne received four per cent (1956).

Nick Green of the Monster Raving Loony Party had 0.8 per cent (370) , just ahead of Jon Foster-Smith of the Digital Democracy Party with 0.3 per cent (139) of the votes.


The 74.8 per cent turnout was down on the 81.2 per cent who voted at the previous election – but 48,969 voters still made it to the polls.
